Concrete Scanning At Purdue University - West Lafayette, Indiana

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Indiana recently visited Purdue University to scan several areas that needed to be penetrated prior to construction. The technician on site was able to scan the areas quickly without having to vacate the area because concrete imaging doesn’t emit any radiation. The information given allowed the construction to continue without damaging any of the reinforcing steel and delaying the project. The technician was also able to provide precise depths of the rebar in some areas of the concrete that needed anchor bolts installed.

Concrete imaging is the best way to ensure that projects are not slowed down due to severed post tensioned cables or conduits. Have a trained and certified technician from the GPRS of Indianapolis will also help avoid changes orders for this same reason. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Indiana only provides GPR services meaning that we are scanning concrete 8 hours a day every day in every major city in the United States. This provides our technicians with an expansive knowledge base for locating dangers in concrete.
