Locating Active Conduits In And Under Slab On Grade Concrete In Greater Indianapolis, Indiana

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Indiana recently mobilized to a project in the greater Indy area to locate any active utilities in or under the slab on grade concrete. The technician on site was able to image the concrete and grade to “see” any hidden dangers. Our customer needed to cut the slab for an addition on the project and wanted to be sure that project would not be delayed by severing a utility during construction. The data provided by the technician allowed for the job to continue without incident.

The concrete sonar technology provides immediate results and is quick to deploy and operate. The concrete x-ray image allows the technician to see and precisely locate where the dangers are in or under the slab on grade. This valuable information allows the facility to operate without being shut down due to a damaged conduit. The concrete imaging technology doesn’t emit any harmful radiation so it can be operated during normal business hours.
