Masonry Wall Scanned For Reinforcing Steel - Greenwood, IN

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Indianapolis recently scanned a masonry wall to locate the rebar spacing. Our customer needed to cut two new entrances into a CMU block wall and needed to avoid cutting any of the reinforcing steel. The technician on site was able to scan several hundred feet during our three hour minimum and determine the spacing of the steel. The information provided allowed the project to proceed without issue while maintain the structural integrity of the building.

Concrete imaging allows for a fast and accurate assessment of concrete without the harmful radiation of traditional x-ray. Concrete scanning can also detect voids, beams and concrete thickness giving our customers all the information needed to complete their projects without delay. If you would like to learn more about concrete scanning or GPR technology contact your local technician at tony.eich@gp-radar.com or 317-504-1068 to schedule a lunch and learn presentation at your office.
