Underground Locating Services Performed - Grissom ARB

On many projects the benefit of knowing what exactly is in the ground and if the soil has been excavated in the past can be valuable information. Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Indiana was recently contracted to locate just that on Grissom ARB. Our customer needed as much information about the soil and utilities in the area as possible prior to the start of their work. The technician on site was able to locate areas of previous excavation and active and abandoned utilities in the area. This allowed our customer to complete their work without any delay.

Ground imaging technology is an excellent way to determine if there are any dangers in the soil that other one call systems may have missed. Soil sonar technology doesn’t depend on the utilities in the area needing to be metallic or active. The imaging technology GPRS of Indiana uses reacts to density changes in the soil allowing it to detect anything with a different density that the soil.
